He was born Nov. 18, 1953, in Superior, Neb., to Hollis Ray and Mary Jane Lovwell. He had been a welder. Survivors include his wife, Martha Medlin Hurd of the home; one son, Nathan C. Hurd of the home; two brothers, Hollis Ray Hurd Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and David Lovwell of Superior; two sisters, Jenny Reed of Traverse City, Mich., and Judy Hurd of Haysville, Kan. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Friendship Cemetery with Ray Main officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale.
