Webster H. Thompson, 57, Peabody resident and former railroad engineer, passed away on Wednesday (Sept. 1, 2010) at his home in Peabody.
Webster was born on Jan. 19, 1953, in Wichita to Henry H. and Opal M. (Ray) Thompson.

He worked as an engineer for Union Pacific railroad.

He is survived by his sons, Aaron Worthey of Peabody and Nathan and wife Stephanie Thompson of Peabody; brothers, Robert L. McCoy, David Thompson, Curtis Thompson and Mickey Thompson, all of Wichita; and grandchildren, John and Jodi Bartlett and Dakota and Alexi Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald R. McCoy and Michael U. Thompson; and sisters, Shirley N. McCoy and Nina M. (McCoy) Tuell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Peabody Christian Church in Peabody with Pastor James Pohlman officiating.
